Production is underway on the ninth season of American Horror Story, and it’s really bringing Ryan Murphy back to his slasher roots. The theme is 1984, and now that shooting is on, Murphy has been kind enough to share some quick looks at the new cast and the new aesthetic. Via an Instagram video slideshow, we get Emma Roberts and Cody Fern jazzercising, Gus Kenworthy showing off a good percentage of his muscles in “gym” clothes, Leslie Grossman giving stern guidance counselor realness, Pose star Angelica Ross making her AHS debut as a possible school or camp nurse, Glee veteran Matthew Morrison with a dirtbag mustache and a sizable fake penis, Billie Lourd channeling some Booksmart energy, and a few more new faces, too. Remember, you won’t find Evan Peters here because he is passing on season nine, and Sarah Paulson might miss it entirely as well. Try and enjoy the videos anyway.
