Sandra Bullock and Tracy Morgan Want the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Get Paid More

Wednesday was a very long day for the U.S. Women’s National Team. First they celebrated their World Cup win with a Manhattan ticker-tape parade in the morning, before jetting off to LA for the ESPYs that evening, having their hair and makeup done on the plane. Luckily their efforts to continue showing up for all of us did not go unnoticed. Sandra Bullock, just before presenting the Best Team Award, told the crowd, “All those in favor of equal pay, say aye.” The quip was a solid endorsement of the team’s current efforts to receive equal pay. Then, at the end of the show, host Tracy Morgan backed them up by telling the audience, “Let’s pay these ladies and let’s fight cancer.” Both truly wonderful ideas.
