The Suicide Squad sequel cast just got a young new member, but no, she will probably not be looting stores and burning down buildings with Harley Quinn. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Storm Reid will play the daughter of Idris Elba’s character, and while we do not know which character he’ll be specifically, we know he is not playing Deadshot, the role vacated by Will Smith. The new movie is being directed by James Gunn, and it will see returning cast members Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. They will be joined by newcomers John Cena, David Dastmalchian, Elba, Reid, and whoever else Gunn brings on board. The Marvel firing controversy really seems to have worked out okay for Gunn in the end.
