Wandering around a darkened Times Square with hundreds of other awestruck Broadway-goers during Saturday’s midtown blackout is a priceless memory you and your family can cherish forever. But that memory is free and your five tickets to Aladdin were $$$$, which is why StubHub has paid more than $500,000 in refunds to ticket holders affected by the power outage.

According to Billboard, over 1,500 ticket orders for 27 events were refunded after shows from Ain’t Too Proud to Wicked were canceled. Only two shows were rescheduled for a later date. The Saturday stop on Jennifer Lopez’s “It’s My Party” tour was rescheduled for the evening of Monday, July 15, while Dave Chappelle’s show at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre will happen on Sunday, July 21. Getting to experience the 2019 blackout and see “Booty” performed live and in person? Priceless.
