Fleabag Is the Queen of the TCA Awards

The math is in: If you add hot priests and reasonably priced jumpsuits to your show, your award-season success jumps by 25 percent. We don’t make the rules! Fleabag took in the top honors at the 35th annual Television Critics Association awards on Saturday evening, with the show pulling double duty with Program of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Comedy. Phoebe Waller-Bridge also walked away with Individual Achievement in Comedy, as did Fosse/Verdon’s Michelle Williams for Individual Achievement in Drama. The cat-friendly Russian Doll and feel-bad Chernobyl also got some love, with Outstanding New Program and Outstanding Achievement in Movie Or Miniseries, respectively.
