Wu-Tang may be for the children, but have they made any cartoons to prove it? Migos’ Quavo has teamed up with Imagine Entertainment co-founder Brian Grazer to create a children’s animated program based in part on the Atlanta music scene. According to Complex, Quality Control’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee will produce with Dan Altmann, as well as Capitol Music Group’s Brian Nolan and Ryan Allingham. Coach K said that he was excited to make a kids’ show in which all kinds of children can see themselves represented: “When I was growing up, there was very little media that had brown- and black-skinned kids feeling heard or seen, and the ones that did stood out and served as a crucial road map through our childhoods. I’m about inclusive stories that address all kinds of situations that kids of ALL ethnic and financial backgrounds experience and to give them a common tool to learn and grow.” As a lifelong animation fan, Quavo expressed excitement that his show would showcase North Atlanta. The show will launch alongside new music and merch.
