Teen witches, assemble! (Not you, Sabrina. You have your own show already.) Blumhouse Productions has completed casting the core four of its remake of The Craft, with Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, and Zoey Luna joining Cailee Spaeny, who had been previously announced. The new movie was written and will be directed by Band Aid’s Zoe Lister-Jones, and she’s executive producing alongside Andrew Fleming, who co-wrote and directed the original. This Craft is being billed as a “reimagining” of the 1996 movie, which centered on a group of teen girls turned coven of witches who hone their powers to improve their circumstances and wreak havoc on the lives of their high-school tormentors. No details yet about Lister-Jones’s take on the story, but it had better not leave out that iconic, arcane incantation “Light As a Feather, Stiff As a Board.”
