Things were chugging along per usual in this SNL sketch about political pundits talkin’ shit about Trump (and “impeachment” and “Beltway”) until some delightful mayhem broke out in the fourth minute: A wardrobe person, thinking she was safe to go onstage and change Aidy Bryant’s blazer, inadvertently became the sketch’s fifth star thanks to her mistimed arrival. Mistakes happen, whatever, but what ensued can only be described as an iconic 30-second vignette of breaking from Bryant, with Cecily Strong’s stifled off-screen laughter as a key supporting player. Even Woody Harrelson was holding back his toothy grin by the end! Live television, amirite?
