Manuel Betancourt is a Los Angeles–based critic and writer whose work has appeared in the New York Times, GQ Style, and Variety, among other outlets. A member of LAFCA and the Peabody Awards board of jurors, he's the author of Judy at Carnegie Hall (2020) and The Male Gazed: On Hunks, Heartthrobs and What Pop Culture Taught Me About (Desiring) Men (2023).
